Mark completed a Bachelor of Computer and Information Science (Honours) at the University of South Australia in 2005. His honours research consisted of the development of a user interface paradigm for augmented reality computing. The research was supervised by Dr Wayne Piekarski.

Currently, Mark is a PhD candidate in the Wearable Computer Lab under the supervision of Dr Wayne Piekarski and Prof Bruce Thomas. He has a research focus on investigating user interface techniques and workflow for 3D modeling in outdoor augmented reality environments.

Mark has also worked as a lecturer and course coordinator at UniSA, his staff homepage can be found here. However, he is not currently undertaking teaching to focus on his PhD research.
